SMS POLICY:

The information (Phone Numbers) obtained as part of the SMS consent process will not be shared with third parties for marketing purposes. We do not obtain consent via phone or mobile messaging. ALL patient’s are required to verbalize and sign consent.

Types of SMS Communications:

If you have consented to receive text messages from Coastline Primary Care, you may receive messages related to the following:

  • Appointment reminders

  • Follow-up messages relating to continued care

  • Billing inquiries

We do not send automated appointment reminders via SMS through our phone system. Our EHR system (PracticeFusion) sends out reminder call’s, messages and/or email reminders.

We require verbal and signed consent upon establishing under our care to be able to communicate with patient’s via SMS messaging. Patient’s are not required to opt-in to SMS communication.

At Coastline Primary Care, we are committed to protecting your personal health information (PHI) in compliance with applicable privacy laws, including HIPAA. We collect and use your information for scheduling, treatment, billing, and communication purposes through secure channels, such as encrypted systems and patient portals. SMS opt-in and phone numbers collected for SMS will not be shared with any third parties under any circumstances.
